Welcomes to our page on pioneering and knots. Some of you might think this is the most boring subject in the world but I use the skills I learned as scout every week to do useful things. When I take my canoe out I used the knots I learned to tie it on the roof rack, if I need to tie the dogs leads to a post again its a knot I learned in scouts, if I go climbing more of the knots are used.

One of the most useful knots we use is the japenese square lashing. When we go raft or shelter building you will need to know this knot.
