Last Friday we moved into our new temporary building (whilst we wait for our new building to be built) and as it was the first meeting of the year we had our annual parents meeting. We had a huge turnout and cannot thank parents enough for their support and the offers we had to sign up as parent helpers. This is a huge boost to what will be the start of another busy year.

We were proud to award a joint Explorer Scout of the Year to Sarah and Dan. Both Explorers go above and beyond to contribute to both our group and the other groups they volunteer at. At huge B.R.A.V.O to them.

We also created a new and special award. This was awarded to Jess and her family for the amazing contributions they make to our fundraising efforts. We also made special note in our presentation of past fundraiser Sandra who has made similar efforts for us. Without the efforts of parents and friends helping us in this way we couldn’t do all the amazing things that we do with our Young People.

We also made Jocelyn stand up to acknowledge her District Young Leader of the Year Award and her Bronze DofE and Chief Scouts Awards. Her Young Leader award has not arrived yet due to difficulties in getting everyone in the same place at the same time to award it, but Jocelyn will get it soon. This is huge honour and a first for a member of Pegasus to receive external recognition in this way. Well done Jocelyn!
