2013 Summer Camp

This was the summer camp that nearly did not happen. The first plan was to go to London, but the costs quickly spiralled and it became to expensive to go. Plan B was a local camp going sailing and wind surfing. Unfortunately the site messed up and did not book any activities. So some last minute ringing around and we sorted out Plan Z a camp based at Cox Wood Scout Camp near Wrexham. We managed to book in a snowboarding lesson and tobogganing at Llandudno, mountain biking at Llandegla, and gliding at the North Wales Gliding Club. We also helped out at Cox Wood by clearing trees from overgrown camping pitches.

We can not thank everyone who helped us enough. From the discounted Snow Boarding / tobogganing at Llandudno Ski Slope the last minute booking for bikes at Coed Llandegla, the amazing gliding (and prices) at North Wales Gliding Club, the very friendly wardens at Cox Wood and a donation from All Round Defence.

We managed to pull it off thanks to their help and come in under budget. Hopefully the photos say it all (movies to be published soon).
