Our explorers helping out and supporting the Veterans Garage at Manchester City Airport (Barton Airport)
Our Gold DofE group have recently carried out their practice expedition on Ullswater in the Lake District. All together they paddled about 36km through the rain, sun wind, sleet and snow. We are very proud of their determination and hard work through these last few days and can’t wait for the final expedition next summer.
Making 1st Aid training more fun by learning how to do casualty simulation and then treat the wounds.
“Keep going” doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to pause and rest if you need it. You also don’t have to do this alone so if you are struggling reach out to someone: a friend, a parent, a teacher or a helpline. Just know there is always someone who will listen and care. 👭👬 @youngmindsuk
It was a wet dreary day but we still had fun canoe training on the lake at Ramsey in the Isle of Man
The sea cliff abseil a real test of nerve
Starting with the small walls we gradually built our confidence until we were tackling the tall trees, all to get us ready for the next activity.
We had a fun few hours team building activities building a raft and then paddling around Ramsey boating lake complete different tasks.
